Make your own instrument : Voice, body and object !
Using your voice, your body and objects of your rear environnement, build your own musical instrument. Being part of a group, you ‘ll become part of a improvise music band mixing transformed voice, body percussion, DIY instrument connected with light and video.
A concert will conclude the workshop.
°Presentation of music made with noise and electronic instruments from 1900 to now.
°Quick tour into a recycling spot to make our market looking for musical materials (wood, glass, plastic, machine….)
°On day 1, the N°1 instrument will be our own voice : transformed, triggered, expanded.
°Discovery of the interactive tools : Ototo, Makeymakey, Artnet used to build your instrument
°Ableton quick training to build our custom control interface to connect ourselves to the physical environnement.
°On day 2, the 2nd instrument will be our body : hit, shaked, rubbed….
°Beginning of a musical score with the view to present a short live act before the end of the workshop. Choice of duo or trio ensemble.
°Start to build your instrument depending the topic you choose : voice, body, object, mixed and/ or mix-media.
°Building time, connecting time : a quick overview of what is available after 2 days of workshop.
°On day 3, the third instrument is the object : smashed, knocked, transformed…
How can we introduce an object + the body + the voice.
We might be ready for our post-industrial choir made of recycled energy.
A list will be sent to you of which equipment will be provide by the BAM team in term of midi trigger, sensors and control surface.

Gymkhana : Self-taught, he studied philosophy at university. He chose then to focus on concrete music and integrated the Paris Conservatory . Considering the music as a visual art , it starts multimedia collaborations: Vincent Ravalec, Mike Ladd and then finally François Wunschel will cross his path.He joined Exyzt collective and finally 1024. They ‘ve created together the performative trilogy « Euphoria, Crisis, Recession » among other art installation and inaugural video mapping.
